Who this covers
Meridian is operated by MeridianAG Group LLC, a California limited liability company. This page covers two groups: the auto glass shops who are our customers, and the people who call those shops and speak to our system.
What we never collect
We do not store vehicle identification numbers. A caller may read a VIN aloud so the system can identify the exact glass their vehicle takes. That VIN is used for the length of a single lookup and then discarded. It is not written to our database — there is no field for it — and the transcript we keep is scrubbed of anything VIN-shaped before it is saved.
We do not collect licence plate numbers. Our system is designed never to ask for one, and to decline if a caller offers it. Plate-shaped text is also removed from transcripts before storage.
We do not store call recordings. Audio is not retained. Only the written transcript, scrubbed as above, is kept.
We do not take payment details. Our system is instructed never to collect card or bank information, and insurance questions are handed to a person at the shop rather than answered.
What we do collect
From calls: the caller’s name and callback number if given, the phone number they called from, the time and length of the call, a scrubbed transcript, a summary, the customer’s described issue, the vehicle’s year, make, model and trim, and any appointment or part details that came out of the conversation.
From shops: the account holder’s email address, and the pricing and supplier settings they enter.
Where it goes
Call data is processed by Retell AI, which operates the voice system, and stored in our database hosted on Supabase. Vehicle identification is performed against the NHTSA vPIC service, a public United States government database.
Two things worth stating plainly: Retell retains its own logs of calls placed through its platform, and NHTSA receives the VIN at the moment of lookup. Our commitment not to store a VIN is a commitment about our systems. It is not a claim about every vendor in the chain.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Keeping shops separate
Each shop sees only its own calls. That separation is enforced by the database itself through row-level security, not by application code deciding what to show — meaning a bug in the interface cannot expose one shop’s calls to another.
Your rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Contact us and we will act on the request.
If you called a shop that uses Meridian and want your call record deleted, ask the shop or contact us directly — we will remove it.
